Neon & Fluro Clothing - 80S Fashion or Fancy Dress?

There's no denying neon or fluorescent fashion clothing is back in style. I guess some people will keep fluro clothing as an 80s costume idea only, since this isn't just about fancy dress. In raves, nightclubs, and discos, neon clothing is awesome to wear under the black lights. During these times of financial hardship with the global financial crisis, we're looking for ways to just have fun and be a little crazy.

Since neon yellow and fluro orange are associated with safety high-vis clothing, you should be able to find neon clothing items to wear now that fluro is back in fashion.
In 1984, fluro clothing became very popular, about the same time as Madonna's look. It's also when George Michael from Wham released "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go!" in all its neon fluro glory! The black disco lights made us want to wear white and fluro. Most 80s tees were white with a cute 80s design on the front, and the colors were highlighted in fluorescent.

How to Wear Your Fluro Socks
All-time favorites with fluro were the fluro socks. Every color had to be bought. There's cyan, lime green, yellow, hot pink, and orange. Wear two pairs over each other and pull them up, just because you can. Roll down the top sock on each leg. Roll down the second sock on each leg. Make sure the colors match, but don't worry too much about it. If you want, they can all mismatch. If you couldn't find a matching pair in the wash, it didn't matter. Say, fluro pink / fluro green on one side, and fluro green / fluro pink on the other. The colors would match adjacently, not identically, when you look at someone. As someone who grew up in the 80s, Deni Griffiths is thrilled to see 80s influences making a comeback. This has been going on steadily since the naughties. There are signs in music clips, magazines, and movies that it's cool to have a fun and zany taste in fashion as we move into the tweenie teenies.
